Pre-APEnglish 10 Week Two

Now that we have passed with the formalities of the new school year, let us move on to larger things. This week I hope to accomplish a number of activities in class. Everyone should visit the Poetry Out Loud Ethology and select a poem to recite in the classroom competition. We also will be writing and sharing some original poetry.

Most of you did fairly well on the reading diagnostic you took last week, but there were enough questions missed to warrant a review of the test. We will also begin a quick review of the parts of speech and begin vocabulary lessons, so be sure to bring those workbooks to class. Also, we will introduce and begin reading and discussing William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar.
