We have much planned for this week:
- Poetry Out Loud class competition is fast approaching, and each of you needs to select and memorize at least one poem from the POL Ethology.
- We will have a quiz on lesson one in your vocabulary book and do the "Wordbusting [sic]" activities for lesson two. (Ask me what [sic] means.)
- We will continue with our study of the parts of speech. Expect a quiz on each part of speech with a test on all of them by the end of next week.
- And we musn't leave out our literature. Yes, we'll continue reading and discussing The Tragedy of Julius Caesar.
- You will also turn in one of your summer reading projects this week and they other in two weeks, so don't forget to work on those.
- Oh, and I'll show you an essay contest I want you to enter. There's a link to it on my sidebar for it--the "This I Believe" essay. Entry is options, but the essay is not, so happy writing. These essays will be due soon. I'll give you more details this week.
