This is our final week before graduation exams, so we will spend most of our time in review. We will be preparing for he reading portions specifically. With that goal in mind, we will review the following areas:
- Understanding logical fallacies or false logic
- Recognizing valid argument
- Recognizing propaganda
- Understanding an author's purpose
- How to describe Mood and Tone, and understanding the difference
- Determining THEME
- Recognizing and understanding the use of Rhetorical Devices such as alliteration, analogy, euphemisms, hyperbole, metaphor, onomatopoeia, personification, rhyme, and simile
- Recognizing different genres or types/categories of literature
- Understanding proper sequence
- Finding details and seeing causal relationships
Be prepared to take a Mock Exam this week.
