APEnglish 12: September 13-17

We are more than half-way through our first quarter. I hope you all gave your parents your grades and PIN numbers so they can check your progress.

This week will be as busy as the last:

• We will be holding our Poetry Out Loud Competition for the class level. 

• Good luck to each of you. If you’d like to review the judging rubric, click here.
  

• We'll have a vocabulary quiz on the SAT F-H words this Friday, so study.
  

• We'll continue with our short story boot camp, so prepare for some reading and Socratic seminar discussion of the texts. After our deconstruction of several short texts, you'll choose one or more to write an analytical paper.
